PCH outlined a future-prize protection program as it named Owen O'Donoghue CEO, describing a planned funding structure for later sweepstakes prizes.

Publishers Clearing House announced a Prize Protection Program for future sweepstakes prizes on September 30, 2025, alongside the appointment of Owen O'Donoghue as chief executive.
In the company release syndicated by Yahoo Finance, PCH and ARB Interactive described the program as a safeguard for prizes awarded in future PCH sweepstakes, with particular attention to large annuity prizes.
The companies said the planned structure would use investment-grade assets. They also described FDIC-insured escrow accounts and a bank-run investment vehicle as parts of the arrangement. ARB said it would implement the program.
O'Donoghue was appointed to lead PCH's wider revitalization, including the prize program. For future entrants, the practical aim was to separate funding for later prizes from PCH's ordinary business finances.
