Privacy & Cookies at GoodSweeps

Last updated: October 14th, 2025

We keep this page short, plain-English, and honest. GoodSweeps is an educational and comparison site for sweepstakes casinos—we’re not a casino and we’re not an affiliate. This notice explains what we collect on goodsweeps.com, why, how long we keep it, and your options.

Quick version: we collect the minimum needed to run the site, reply to messages, and understand what content works. We don’t sell your personal information.

Who we are & what this covers

This policy applies to goodsweeps.com and any forms you submit here. It doesn’t cover third-party sites we link to (operator websites, embedded services, etc.). Their policies apply once you leave us.

Age & eligibility: GoodSweeps is intended for adults (18+, or 21+ where applicable). We don’t knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor submitted information to us, please contact us and we’ll remove it.

The information we collect

1) Information you choose to share

If you contact us via our form, we receive what you submit (typically name, email, message). The form stores your entry in our site’s database so we can read and respond.

2) Automatically collected data

Our server creates standard logs (IP address, browser, pages viewed, timestamps). We use these for security, troubleshooting, and aggregate stats.

3) Cookies & similar tech

  • Essential cookies – used for things like caching, security, and keeping the site working.
  • Analytics (GA4) – we use Google Analytics 4 only for US/CA visitors to understand overall site usage (pages viewed, device/browser type, events). We do not enable ads personalization or remarketing.
  • EEA/UK – for visitors in the EEA/UK, we don’t load GA4 and don’t set analytics cookies.
  • Search Console – Google Search Console helps us monitor performance in Google Search; it doesn’t set cookies on your device from our site.
  • Embeds/links – if you interact with third-party embeds or leave our site, those services may set their own cookies (check their policies).

How we use your information

  • To reply to messages you send us.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the site (including caching/performance).
  • To review aggregate analytics from GA4 (US/CA only) and Search Console.

We don’t profile individuals or make automated decisions about you.

Legal bases (where applicable)

  • Legitimate interests in running a secure, fast website and responding to inquiries.
  • Consent for non-essential cookies (analytics) where required.
  • Contract when you ask us to contact you and we need your details to reply.

Sharing your information

We don’t sell personal information. We share data only with:

  • Service providers who help us host and maintain the site.
  • Tool providers we use for quality and performance (e.g., Google Site Kit/GA4, Search Console).
We may disclose information if required by law.

How long we keep information

  • Form submissions: kept only as long as needed to reply and maintain reasonable records; we review and delete older entries periodically.
  • Server logs & performance data: retained for routine operations and security, then rotated or deleted.
  • Analytics data: retained according to our GA4 settings (within Google’s available retention options).
  • Cookies: persist according to their purpose and your consent choices.

We aim to keep data no longer than necessary.

Your choices & rights

  • Contact us to access, correct, or request deletion of information you shared (e.g., form submissions).
  • Cookies – you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Because we don’t load GA4 in the EEA/UK, there’s no analytics opt-in there; in the US/CA you can still block cookies at the browser level.
  • We’ll honor valid requests unless we’re required to retain certain data for security or legal reasons.

International visitors

Our providers may process data in other countries. We use reputable services and take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this notice

We’ll update this page when practices change. The Last updated date tells you when the latest changes went live.

How to contact us
